Updates on Sims 3

i have this version of sims 3 1.6 is it okay if i just update it with the current 1.55 patch right away and not update it with the previous patches like 1.24 and such? and also is it okay for me to use Internet Download Manager to download the manual patch?

Yes, you can use IDM to download the manual patch, and what do you mean the version of The Sims 3 is 1.6? There is no such patch/update...

i based my version on thesims3 website game patches list so its 1.6 on that list

Well I think this is a future update (which should be under construction). Right now you should stick to 1.55.

no i mean im on a previous version we are really not getting each other's point haha my version is the one with the POSTED ON 11/16/09 which is 1.5/1.6 which is a ancient version im asking if i can just directly update my version to 1.55 with out going through the other patches

Hello,

You can update your game via manual patch (which can be found here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v155-fix-manual-patch). and you don't need to go through other patches.
