TS2 SP03 Installation: not enough space on hard drive

Hello,

First of all, thank you for providing us Simmers with all these downloads that would be otherwise hard to aquire.

I tried searching earlier topics, but couldn't seem to find a matching problem.

I'm installing TS2 and I've made it to SP03, Happy Holiday stuff. When I start installing it, right after the inquiry "Do you want to install.." I get an error message saying I don't have enough space on my hard drive, while it's required to have at least 200 MB. The thing is, I have 40 GB free space on C: and over 800 GB free on D:. This error comes up before I even get a chance to choose the installing location. I emptied my trash and restarted the computer, and also tried moving the folder containing the SP setup to different locations, and can't figure out anything else to try. Any insights?

I'm running Windows 10 64-bit, if that matters.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. As I said, I can't get to the point in the installation where I can choose the installing location. Does the installation directory mean something else?

I only get 2 windows when I start the installation: "Do you want to install The Sims 2 Happy Holiday Stuff?" Yes/No and: "There is not enough free hard drive space. At least 200 MB of free hard drive space is required."

I have installed the base game and other expansions to a custom location on D:, can this have any effect?
