Can't start the game
I have a legit base game & all of the expansions are from here. It used to work perfectly but lately when I try to start the game it goes to a black screen and loads for a bit & then it shows the "The Sims 4 has stopped working" message. I tried to redownload the City Living expansion & add it in again but it still doesn't work. I can no longer start the game. I'm running it as an administrator from the TS4_x64.exe, the same as always.

Re: Can't start the game
Maybe Origin has updated your game to a higher version.
Go to C:\user\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
Open the file GameVersion with Notepad.
When it shows a higher version than 1.25.136.1020 then Origin has ruined your cracked expansions. (Latest version 1.27.80.1020)
You then applied City Living again resulting in a version 1.25 game with a 1.27 basic game (incl. toddlers) and these 2 versions conflict.
Please check the version in the file GameVersion and come back if it is higher than 1.25.
We then can try and resolve the problem.

Re: Can't start the game
Try a new folder in user\Documents\Electronic Arts.
Name the folder The Sims 4 to The Sims 4_old and restart the game.
Still the start up problem ?

Re: Can't start the game
Then it really looks like you'll have to install everything again preferrably in a different folder
