Downloads for The Sims Medieval. Empty Downloads for The Sims Medieval.

Post by Guest Mon 13 Mar 2017, 15:39

Hi, I've been playing TSM recently and I discovered some really good CC, tons of skins, hairs and mods, and I've downloaded it.
I made sure to have the resource.cfg (downloaded the file from MTS, I think), and a proper location for my Mods (wasn't sure if it needed to be named Mods or Downloads, as I haven't played TS3 all that much and I've just got into TSM, but tried both folder names anyway) and I still can't see any difference from the vanilla game, I can't find neither the hairs, nor the skins (one or two default, and some non default) I've downloaded and I've tried everything. What to do? As I really need that cc in my game IAmSoHappyEmergahwd

Hello,

Have you made sure those mods and CC you've downloaded are all for TSM? Usually, package files go into the folder Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\Mods\Packages, and the resourcefile goes into "Mods", alongside the "Packages" folder. If that setup is currently correct, perhaps you need a different resourcefile.

Hello,

Installing mods for The Sims Medieval works differently from TS3:
https://goo.gl/I6rDqy

Download this little pack I compiled. Now...

---> The "Mods"-folder goes into C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval

---> The mods you then put in go under C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\Mods\Packages

---> The "Resource.cfg" goes into C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval

---> The "d3dx9_31.dll" goes under C:\Program files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval\Game\Bin.

Then try your mods again. Smile

Thank you so much! To be honest, I didn't even know about the d3dx9_31.dll and I thought that resource.cfg needs to be put in the same place as the packages and such. I've got it to work, thanks again Carlos is tha man!!!

So is everything working for you then? Smile  Did you have any other questions about Sims medieval for now? I just noticed (yes, really), that we didn't have a topic yet about mods & The Sims Medieval, so I'll be writing a post later on, describing the installation and putting up a proper download for a Mod framework.
