Nothing shows up

Ive just installed sims 3 pets all went well but now when i start the game it all loads up but there is no towns for me to select even after pressing new , and it has no options or save , quit ect i have to use task manager and end task , i dont know why it is doing it but i hope someone can help  thank you

yay got it working , i uninstalled it all , re-installed sims 3 then it updated , i installed sims 3 pets then added the crack went to play it and it said it needed another patch so it downloaded and updated , i started the game and it done same as before no towns or options ect , so i thought forget it and i put the original TSLHost.dll , ts3w and Sims3Launcher as i saved them from before when i used a no cd patch and then put the other no cd patch that i had from before and started the game as normal , at first everything looked just like the basic sims 3 launcher with towns and options ect when i chose my familly and started the game it came up with sims 3 pets and started loading , i thought gees im going  to haveto uninstall the pets to get my game back to normal but i let it load up and i got pets and other stuff now   .. but the patch manual patch i downloaded from here keeps coming up with the picture above so dont know why it dont work .. thank you for your time and help and please keep up the good work you all do
