Game shows up blank!

Hi! so I installed the Sims 3 Seasons, and, to be clear I have exactly the same problem than the guy here
But as he solved his problem on his own, well I don't know what to do ... I don't know where I messed up!
When the game charges it goes on my desktop and tells me I have a "fake game", so there would be some bugs ... I thought it was normal, so I continued but well ...

Please help! Very Happy

Hello,

Can you try the following?

(1) RE-DOWNLOAD (or download) the manual patch here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v166-fix-manual-patch.
(2) Download the Ultimate Fix here (please download the PC Fix): https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems.
(3) Open the Ultimate Fix with WinRAR.
(4) You will see a lot of folders inside, but you don't need them except the folder # Crack. Open it and extract the content inside.
(5) Now copy and paste the extracted files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. When you are prompted, replace the files.

Please let us know the result after doing the above. Good luck!

I did step1 and applied the update, a window pops up and tells me I already have the version 1.66.002 and so I don't need this one, but I can continue the update ... Should I continue or not...?

Yes please continue updating with the manual patch.

Other than that, have you previously installed the crack from the temporary fix?

Ok.
No, nothing temporary, as it wasn't recommended, I wanted to do things right...
Now it says CRC error ...!

Is the manual patch you downloaded in the form of .RAR? Even though it is not, please re-download it via Chrome and try again. You can also try downloading it with the official EA link: http://akamai.cdn.ea.com/eadownloads/u/f/sims/sims3/patches/TS3_1.66.2.0240xx_update.exe

I think I will download the Into the futur expension, so, will I have to update again or not...?

Hello,

No, if you're already on version 1.66, just install Into the Future, but DO NOT use any more "# Crack".
Just install the game and you're good to go.
