I downloaded a manual patch for my game, but I don't know what to do with it/where to put it? can someone please help me. thanks

Hello,
Its an executable, so you should be able to doubleclick it.
Having said that, I'm not sure that goes for MAC users.

Hello,
No, .exe files won't open on a Mac, you'll need to download the specific Mac manual patch.
This should do: http://www.playerattack.com/file/14277/The-Sims-3-Patch-1.29-Full-Mac-All-Regions/
