Patch 1.55 Won't download. Neither will the Manual patch

Hi all,
As the title of the topic says, I have followed all instructions given.. When I reach step 11, I try to patch the client ( did this 5 times, and the same error keeps coming up). So I went to the website to try to download and install the manual patch... But No, Whatever I try, ( 3 different web browsers) and it still won't work on my Mac.
I hope there's anyone out there who can hand me some useful information towards solving these issues.

Hello,
Maybe you download the .exe (for windows os) file.
Manual patch for Mac is this.
If you downloaded that
.
Wait for Pheobe. She's helper for Mac.

When you say "the same error" - which error is that?
