The Sims 4 is coming to console!
According to the fanmade-site Simscommunity.info, that was revealed that The Sims 4 is coming to XBox one, as well PS4 too. The article says:
For me it looks pretty odd, first of all the size is said to be Approximate download size 113.14 MB. Plus, they are using PC screenshots for promoting the game, which is super odd, causing negative impacts on the game critics.
Instead of EA giving us what is missing in the game, they made a console version which not a lot wanted.

I don't suppose the game is going to look much different on the console version, than on PC. If you showed me a console screenshot, I would not be able to tell you whether that is from PC or console. People say that "graphics on PC are better than on consoles" (maybe that's why they used PC pics in the promotion?). But then again, I am not an expert, and neither is the average person. I don't think I could distinguish between PC and console pics.
Also, the video gaming industry is increasingly focusing on the console market, and that has been the case for quite some time now. The average person does not use PCs that much beyond work/school (and in 8 out of 10 cases that only means MS Word/Powerpoint/Excel, sometimes Photoshop as well). I guess convenience plays a huge - if not main - role in the mass popularity of console platforms.

Yeah, but i remember they used PC screenshots in The Sims 3 pets in console, then it turned out to be so different and downgraded.
//EDIT
Plus, the console controllers i guess (Never played before) won't suit the game. It'll be so hard.

Even if so, "is growing" = not the same as equal, or approximately equal.
Notwithstanding (short-term) fluctuations in gaming trends, it doesn't change my intended message above: that the average casual gamer still prefers console systems. A classic example from practice: is the average parent going to go for a PC system if their kids reach the age for playing video games? Probably not. Which leaves consoles as a feasible option.
And I'd be highly surprised if that were to change anytime soon. Or if the popularity of PC systems for gaming even came close to the popularity of consoles. Don't misunderstand: my personal opinion is PCs are superior, but that does not appear to be the mainstream opinion.
Edit: a cynical observer may now point out that "there are fewer and fewer families with kids, therefore the above argument doesn't count". Which does hold some truth. However, properly using a PC - even "just" to be able to run games and for basic troubleshooting - still requires greater skill than using consoles. Do you happen to have (online) sources that backup your claim, which also highlight possible reasons or other background information for this alleged market gain in the PC area?
