Sims 3 Launcher Stopped Working

Okay, so, I got new computer and I had to reinstall some of my Sims 3 games. I have the Origin version of The Sims 3, and I installed a few stuff packs since they download faster. The launcher seemed to be working up until I installed Diesel/Master Suite stuff. I'm not sure which one caused this, but the Launcher is no longer working. I can't open the Launcher and it tells me "The Sims 3 Launcher has stopped working." It says it's searching for a solution for a few seconds and then the notification disappears and nothing happens. I don't have the Ultimate Fix, and I'm wondering if that is the issue? Does The Sims 3 require the Ultimate Fix? I thought it didn't if I had the base game actually installed and working already. Also, if I install the ultimate fix, will it even work because I already installed the stuff packs? Any help would be great. Thanks.

So I clicked on TS3W.exe and then it tells me the Sims 3 has crashed. I have downloaded and Installed Island Paradise and University cracks (I have physical copies of the base game and other expansions), and I have even downloaded the Ultimate fix but of course, that didn't do anything.

I have been having the same problem, I tried to just download and install the Seasons EP and the sims launcher has stopped working and I can't get it start from the install locations. Is there any way to fix this or just uninstall the Seasons EP?

Also I used the ultimate fix which didn't do anything. Can someone please tell me what is going on here?

Hello to everyone in the forum. I have been having the same problem, and I discovered that the Origin downloaded version of The Sims 3 isn't compatible with ANY expansion pack here... Ive found a very long patience needing solution to the issue. First, go into your My Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3 folder and move your saves and mods folder to documents. (if you dont have mods, just move your saves folder.) Go to games4theworld.com/downloads and download the sims 3 base game.Download torrent, Follow installation instructions in game. After you've installed Sims 3, go back to the downloads page and reinstall any expansion packs youve had. After all that is done and you can verify the game is working, go into your My Documents folders, Copy the content of your saves and mods folders into the existing folders in your new copy of sims 3. Everything should be working from there





Sheesh. Finding this solution was a huge headache and so was typing this. I should get paid.
