How to relocate the folder? (I want to move everything to a different drive in my PC)
I am in the process of re-installing the Sims 4 and everything. Currently I have the base game downloaded and installed. This is where it is right now. I don't want it in my C drive— I want to put it on my Media (F:) drive.
Can I just move the "The Sims 4" folder to my Media (F:)? Should I also add that location to my exclusions?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Yes, and yes. Keep in mind though that the folder under Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 will general still remain where it is, but you could try going under "my PC" (press Windows key + E), and then right-clicking on "Documents". Under the Properties, see this:
If you just want the folder "The Sims 4" moved instead of the entire Documents, see e.g. this topic here. It's tricky, but I think there are also third-party tools that can help with creating these symbolic links. Can't help much at that point, but feel free to google.
I would recommend though if at all possible, to keep this folder under Documents, unless you really use a ton of mods/CC, and the folder is really huge in size.

Re: How to relocate the folder? (I want to move everything to a different drive in my PC)
Last year I was able to move it all (the game plus expansions) to my F drive. I think what I did was just dragged the folder over there... The game actually worked that way too, but I am re-installing everything because the game did stop working. But thank you as always, ghostm4n!The_gh0stm4n wrote:L4Z3R R4V3R wrote:Can I just move the "The Sims 4" folder to my Media (F:)? Should I also add that location to my exclusions?
