The Sims 4: "Error Code 3" & Game starts (unexpectedly) in Spanish - fix. [OBSOLETE]

The Error Code 3 fix has been "incorporated" into the newest Cats and Dogs expansion pack, therefore the download links here have been taken down. You should be fine installing the Cats and Dogs DLC in order to remedy the error. Also refer to the TS4 Must-Read Guide, paying attention to step #7 onwards.
Should you still get the Error Code 3, you may have forgotten to rename/delete the "Game"-folder after installing Toddlers/Vampires/Bowling Stuff. In which case, check out the topic about the latest "Game"-folder, to fix the issue for good!

Hello,
Those of you who installed the "Toddlers Stuffpack" and are getting an "Error Code 3" after game startup on the main menu, here is something that may help. I compiled some newer/modified files that could help you bypass the issue. The .rar archive file contains a bunch of further files, please copy/paste them into C:\Program files (x86)\The Sims 4\Game\Bin, and replace the existing files when prompted. You can/should also apply this fix when your game unexpectedly starts in Spanish, instead of English!
In case your game starts in Spanish and you apply the fix, make sure to right-click on the game's .exe file (either TS4.exe or TS4_x64.exe) and choose "run as Administrator".
