I need to do a complete scan on my laptop

So a few months ago i tried to get TS4 from someone on youtube, but unfortunately it was fake and i have a virus on my laptop.. I know there is a virus or a trojan hacker but my laptop is slowly getting worse and  i have so much stuff on my laptop that i will need to do a complete scan and it will take about a day to complete, Should i add TS4 into  my exceptions in my windows defender before starting the scan?. I did do this last year but it broke my game and i had to restart all over again. Sorry if i didnt post in the correct forum or thread but i didnt know how to exactly search my issue. Please any info would be helpful!!!!!

I suggest you copy your Game folder to an USB-stick.
Then scan the complete computer (USB stick removed).
When finished and your Sims-game won't start copy the Game folder from your USB-stick back.

thank you, But i dont have a USB stick right now lol.. is that my only option?

Scan your computer
If The Sims 4 doesn't start and you have all DLC's installed, download THIS NEW GAME FOLDER
Extract with Winrar
Delete the existing folder Game from your install folder Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4
Replace with this downloaded folder
Start your game as an administrator
