Hi,

I had The Sims 4 working perfectly all the way up to fitness stuff. I tried installing toddler stuff but I seemed to mess it up. After installing Toddler Stuff the game would sit on an infinite loading screen, or It would simply not start at all. I made matters worse thinking I could undo all of the changes I made with Toddler Stuff by redownloading, and installing the previous pack Fitness Stuff.

I thought that since it worked all the way up to Fitness Stuff I could just overwrite the files from Toddler Stuff with Fitness Stuff, and it would have worked again. But now it still doesnt work, it just sits forever on an infinite loading screen.

Any advice on what I should do would be amazing, thank you.

EDIT: I tried following instructions in this thread; https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t31459-the-sims-4-error-code-3-game-starts-unexpectedly-in-spanish-fix

Now I get a new error message when trying to start the game that says; Unable to Start, the contents of your user data directory were created by a newer version of The Sims 4 and cannot be loaded. Please update your game via origin to play.

Ageha wrote:Prior to installing Vampire, the order should be as follows:

  • Base game - Get to Work - Get Together - City Living.
  • Install Vampire (Toddler) update and then DELETE the game folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4
  • Install Parenthood -> Fitness -> Tot's Stuff.
  • Take note of the Error Code 3 fix found here.
  • Run the game as administrator.

I found this solution at another topic, which helped me, since I followed each instruction from each download to the letter, which you shouldnt, it is only after installing the Vampire/Toddler update that you have to delete or rename the Game Folder

Good Luck to you

Hi there!

Regarding your latest error, delete the GameVersion.txt found in Documents\EA\The Sims 4 and run the game again. Take note that if there's a Los Sims 4 folder as well, you can delete that too.

Do keep me updated! Smile

Hi Ageha,

I did as you said and now I'm no longer getting an error message. However, when I press play on the sims 4, I end up stuck in an infinite loading screen.

Hey,

Sorry for the late reply. You can fix the infinite loading by downloading the Game folder below:

Very Happy
