CC/Mods Issues!
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum.
I've been having a lot of problems with trying to get my mods to actually be available in the game. I downloaded TS4 and all the DLC from Games4TheWorld, and I've been playing it perfectly with no problem. I've been wanting to add mods and custom content, but alas I have hit a wall. I'm not unfamiliar with CC as I had plenty in TS3, but upon installation of my copy of TS4, I didn't have a "Mods" folder, so therefore, I created one, thinking it wouldn't be a problem. I cut and paste my CC in there from my downloads...load the game aaaaand nothing. (yes, cc is enabled) So, I tried a different route and just cut and pasted it into the game folder. Rinse and repeat, voila- nothing. Any help on trying to get my mods to work? I've reviewed previous posts and can't seem to find anything that works.
TIA! I appreciate any advice.

Hello and welcome to the Forum @knightly,

The exact location of the Mods-folder is Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods. And you have to start the game at least once in order for the folder to show up there.
If it's still not there, having this "OneDrive" enabled/active is known to cause interferences there. Do check on that, and see if you can disable that. Good luck for now!

Thank you for the link to the post! I ran TS4 and went back and the folder was not created. Where would I find OneDrive?The_gh0stm4n wrote:knightly wrote:Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum.

Hey! So I disabled One Drive, and tried to follow that tutorial to no avail. I created the Mods folder as it still wasn't showing after running, and it didn't work. Also tried to move the "resource" file into the folder and my game would not run with it moved. Am I missing something?

Re: CC/Mods Issues!
Have you really checked in Documents/Electronic arts/The sims 4. Where did you get the resource folder? It must NOT be in the Games folder if you talking about C: Programfiles(x86)/The sims 4/ game!
