sims 4 wont open after toddler update [SOLVED]

I installed sims 4 toddler stuff and the fix and it wont open says I need to update through origin. i have origin turned off. why? plz help

What fix did you download exactly? Have you also move out the Sims 4 folder out from Electronic Arts?

sims 4ec3 fix and yes it is moved from electronic arts to own folder. has been working fine until I installed new toddler update

thank you both for responding. just figured out I was trying to open it from the old game file. rookie mistake. everything is running fine now.
