Sims Base Download Not Working.

I downloaded and installed sim 4 base game from Games4theworld and kept getting an error about the sims 4 not being updated. I then proceeded to download the fix from the same website and now am met an error saying "Origin not running."

Now I did buy the game for my sister and had it on the same laptop so I deleted the /origin from my computer.

Any help is welcomed, thank you in advance!

Hello @Onehitwonder and welcome to the Forum,

Do you mean you installed the base game and THEN applied the Update-Only Ultimate Fix ? Did you also move the installation folder directly under C:\Program files(x86)? So that the installation location is C:\Program files (x86)\The Sims 4?

You also have to make sure that the installation location is added to the "exclusions" in your anti-virus software and Windows Defender; at this point it can be tricky to go into more details, but maybe the guide here can give you a first insight:
