Missing Documents Folder for TS4?
After uninstalling TS4 5 months ago, I decided to reinstall it.
After finishing downloading all torrents, reading the instructions on how to properly install it, I started the game.
Everything was fine, so I closed it and went to check Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 so I could install some CC. To my surprise, it wasn't there. Before installing it a few months ago, everything was fine.
I don't know if this is related to the question, but I also did delete my Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder since I did uninstall the game. Any help?

Yes, multiple times. Even in OneDrive documents folder. (I also have started the game and made a save.)Loonieloose wrote:Did you try searching for it?

What I have read about that now is, restart your Computer, start a new game and see if it is there . Seems to have helpd a few. There is also mention of one drive, but you have checked that already
Have you searched like this? In Windows 10, click "Start>File Explorer>Documents>Electronic Arts."

Still doesn't work. I also searched like the example you have brought me.Loonieloose wrote:What I have read about that now is, restart your Computer, start a new game and see if it is there . Seems to have helpd a few. There is also mention of one drive, but you have checked that already

Re: Missing Documents Folder for TS4?
Never mind, I have solved it. For those of you wondering, create a game, play it and save it. Go back to main menu and go to "Load Game". There should be a folder thingy in the save you played, click that and it'll show the directory of the save, as well as the Electronic Arts folder. Thanks alot though.
EDIT: I have another question, how do you move the directory of Electronic Arts to my Documents? I accidentaly or somehow made the directory go to another user's documents, any help or is this impossible?

Re: Missing Documents Folder for TS4?
I had the same exact thing happen to me - there was an Electronic Arts folder for two users on my computer. Deleting one or the other still won't let me add my mods into the game, the folders just keep regenerating. I personally haven't been able to figure out a fix and had to go back to just playing up to the Toddler Stuff version of the gameHeHe_ wrote:Never mind, I have solved it. Re: Missing Documents Folder for TS4?
SO, this post inspired me to try this once again - and I managed to get it to work.
I re-downloaded the Cats & Dogs torrent file and installed it as normal. Just to be safe, I renamed my current game file to Game_ so the new Game file in the download would replace everything. Then I followed the instructions to make sure I was playing the correct version of my game, which happens to be the x64 version, so I had to MOVE the Sims 4 folder to the correct location and run it from there.
And... it worked. No duplicated Electronic Arts folder and I was able to get all my cc in. So maybe check to make sure you're playing the correct version for your PC - the 32 bit or 64 bit!

Re: Missing Documents Folder for TS4?
Have you got access to that other users documents? Could you just simply cut it there and paste it to your document? What happens if you start a new game?

Another thing I found out today - running the game as administrator is what seems to trigger the second folder being generated.HeHe_ wrote:Never mind, I have solved it. Re: Missing Documents Folder for TS4?
Yeah, well I actually managed a quick fix for this. For those of you using Windows 10, I instead went in and pinned the "Electronic Arts" folder in Quick Access so I could go there easily. I'm pretty happy rn, so I won't complain further.Loonieloose wrote:Have you got access to that other users documents? Could you just simply cut it there and paste it to your document?
