Sims 4 Download. [SOLVED]

Good day everyone.
I want to download the Sims 4 and I've gone through the "MUST READ" and I want to ask Is it a must I download all DLC and decide to deactivate them after Installing, I'd like to save the data instead. I just Need to download the BASE GAME AND 4-5 additional contents....
Is it safe to do so?

You must download and install ALL the packs and in the correct order.
When that's done you can diactivate unwanted packs.

Okay, what if there another release of a new expansion pack, would I repeat the whole process or just install the EP only?

Just add the new pack on top of what you already installed.
