Curious Minds Want To Know.....

I have spent at least a hour trying to figure out how to make my sims look like they do in CAS, in game. My graphics card is crap and I am surprised I can even run sims 4. Like I can run it all except with pets just fine on low settings.

Anyway, this is my settings and yes I restarted the game, closed out completely and everything. While I am sure it is because my graphics card is crap, I don't understand why it can't look as good as it does in CAS.

Can someone explain this?

I can only guess that when you are in "live mode", the game has to process/render not just your sim, but the entire environment as well. And while I'm not a game designer or developer, I could imagine that the live mode will generally require more computer resources than just the CAS. Again, this is only an assumption from my end.

May I ask (if it's not a secret  ) what your graphics card is?

And that makes sense. But yeah that is how **** my graphics card is. I crash a lot, but that is mostly when traveling lol but I manage.
