ZLOrigin requires original Origin account.

Hi, I have tried to run my game through ZLOrigin but whenever i start ZClient and open ZlOrigin, instead of going straight to the origin screen it demands an Origin account. It was working fine up until now when i received this error.

Hello,

Can you open the task manager by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE ? And then go under "Details" and look for an Origin.exe. Right-click on it and choose "end task". Then try logging back into ZCLient, and re-open ZLOrigin. See what happens then.

At that point I can't suggest more than trying to uninstall the ZLOrigin. Typically you can go under C:\Program files (x86)\ZLOrigin and look for a file named unins000.exe. Use the file, and follow the instructions.

Re-boot the computer, and then re-install ZLOrigin.

No need to say "sorry" (it's you having the problem after all and not me   ), but no, I'm being too cruel again. Did you also make sure that your Windows Defender & antivirus exclusions are set correctly, so that they don't "target" the download & installation of ZLOrigin?

Remember, you ALSO have to set the folder "Downloads" under the exclusions, otherwise all your new downloads could be damaged as well by security software.

Other than that, if you have a REAL Origin account as well on the computer, then go under C:\Program files (x86). Look for a folder "Origin". Then rename the folder, into anything. I myself use Origin_ . After that, try signing into ZCLient/ZLOrigin once more. 

Beyond that, I don't know what else can be done. Maybe @Tarac knows another trick, that I don't know yet, so you should wait for more replies.

Ok so now it says update the origin client for windows vista and xp users, even though I am on windows 10, as the message of the day. It still requires origin account and I don't have original Origin in my pc.

I've also noticed that after my replies above, each time you took only 3 minutes before posting "it does not work", which is kind of strange, but OK. Yes, I am thinking that you may not have followed instructions correctly. Please note that not every problem can be solved, and for various reasons. And I see we are not getting anywhere by continuing the discussion here.
