Difference between "All in one version" and the one with the DLC's Empty Difference between "All in one version" and the one with the DLC's

Post by Guest Fri 29 Jun 2018, 16:39

Hi!

Again a little question. Under the "all in one version" it says: "For people new to the game we offer a simple download containing all of the below mentioned  DLC's 1 to 12a for the Sims 4, The download is 26.5 GB against 58.83 GB for all individual DLC's". May I ask, what's the difference between these two? of course the size, but what else besides the size? I was just wondering. Thanx1

Conny

Hello @netcat,

Both are the same game. But if you are a new user you would need to download every individual item, from the beginning, as listed here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly

Note that we have been releasing these items since September 2014, and taken together, these individual items are also bigger than the .ISO file. The system is good for users who have been with us for a long time, but less so, for people who are new.

The only "issue" (and it's not even a problem, directly) is that most people seem to be confused how to use the .ISO file in the event that a new update is released on G4TW. YOu would need to extract the contents of the .ISO onto your hard-drive, so that you end up with an "install folder" of The Sims 4. Then you can simply add new DLC's by means of copy/paste.

Think of that .ISO file as a "shortcut" that is useful for people who are new to all this.
