Hi, in the last 2 or 3 patches, my antivirus (Karpesky) detects the OrangeEmu.dll file as a Trojan Horse. Is it a false alarm?

My Windows Defender + AVG also detected and quarantined it as a trojan.

Yup, it is a false alarm. Add it to exception list in your anti-virus.

If you're on 64-bit machine you can ignore it since you're running TS4_x64.exe which uses OrangeEmu64.dll. So you should be good anyway.

False alarm. Add everything sims 4 related to your exceptions. That includes the place where you download and extract to. It might also help to disable your Antivirus while downloading and installing your game.G4tw is safe.

Almost all offline-capable (cracked) pieces of software are "detected" as viruses. Now guess who is benefiting from this? Correct: the game publisher. You can safely ignore these warnings.

As a sidenote: in my personal experience, when it comes to "real" malware or viruses, these antivirus programs usually don't help at all. But they are quick to target cracked stuff.
