Sims 3 World adventures 2.17. [SOLVED]

Theres a download on modthesims that allows you to patch world adventures to 2.17. But I read on the sims 3 ultimate fix that it only works for world adventures 2.0.86. Something like that. If I download this patch from modthesims will it mess up my game because the crack won't work for wa 2.17? If so how do I go about getting world adventures updated to 2.17?

Note that you do not need to update your expansion packs at all! Since the release of (I think it was) Generations, the expansions don't need updating any more. All you need is update your base game and your expansions will automatically be up-to-date.
If you applied the Ultimate Fix and your base game's version is 1.29, you're fully up-to-date and it makes no sense to update the expansion(s) again.

So, no, you don't need it. Hope this clears up.

I'm still on base game version 1.26. WA lags a lot for me. Someone told me it lags and freezes because I have version 2.0.86 and I need to update to world adventures 2.17 which fixes all the lagging and freezing.

Hmm. I do have the overwatch mod by twallan but it doesn't help that much. Do you suggest anything else? All the issues I hear about 1.29 is causing me to hold off a bit.

Thanks both of you. I think I'll just try the patch to 2.17. All the vacation worlds give me problems. Could it be the tombs? I think it's that because whenever I download a custom world that has tombs it lags just like the vacation worlds.

I finally got to test it out today. I got WA patched to 2.17 with the sims 3 patcher from modthesims. And it does work. It doesn't do anything to your other Sps and Eps. Only the ones you select. It doesn't lag as much, I actually get to travel now. But there is still a little lag when I first get to my destination, but I can live with that.
