Installing Toddlers, - Not sure what to do next. Empty Installing Toddlers, - Not sure what to do next.

I decided to keep updating my game after all (had it till city living). I installed Toddlers, Vampires, & Bowling Stuff but I don't think I did it right. The game starts normally, everything seems right, it appears to be installed, I can even create a sim, BUT when I try to play a household it wont open, i get stuck in the loading screen (tried multiples households, I created a new one, I deleted all mods to rule out mods conflicting and nothing changes).

So I think I didn't understand Step 7 of the guide. I only changed the "Game" folder to "Game_". I didn't do anything else. I don't know if I had to do something else after renaming it. I don't even know if that's the problem. I wanted to try the other option (downloading the game folder fix) but I want to ask first before I mess things up again. My game was fine before this.

I uninstalled everything and I installed until City Living again. I'll wait until someone can help me before installing toddlers, vampires, and bowling again telling me exactly what to do cause I really didn't understand step 7. Please someone help me!

Let's start with the following...what is the "latest" DLC/update for The Sims 4 that you want to play with? Personally I'd recommend going all the way until the latest stuff, so just keep copying/pasting the updates after City Living.

At the end, DELETE the "Game"-folder(s) that are there, in your Sims 4 installation. Assuming now that you have used the latest 1.45 patch, take only the "Game"-folder that is included with the .iso download of the patch, and copy/paste that one back into your Sims 4 installation.

If you just want to stick with Toddlers/Vampires/Bowling, then delete or rename your Game-folder, and use the one here, specifically for that DLC.

I want to update all the packs and last patch, I just wanted to play meanwhile because I still have some packs downloading. I also like to open the game to make sure it works everytime I install a pack in case something goes wrong. But I'll try installing everything all the way then.

Ok, I still have some questions 1) when I install toddlers & vampires I rename the folder, leave it like that and keep updating like you said. Do I have to do something else after renaming it? Should I download the "game folder fix" too?

2) About deleting the "Game" folder and updating to 1.45, does that mean the only Game folder I'll have would be the one that comes with the patch?

Thanks for answering.

There are Game-folders for each available DLC/patch-version, and you need to use the one that is appropriate for whatever update your game is currently on. If you want to play (with Toddlers/Vampires/Bowling) while the other items are downloading, rename/delete the old Game-folder and use the one I posted before.

Later down the road, if you decide to go all the way up to the latest 1.45.62.1020 patch, delete the Game-folder once more, and take the one here:
www.link-to.net/8062/44

Or, take the one that is included in the 1.45.62.1020 patch, which is the same item as from the link I just posted.
