Hey guys. So I don't know whats going wrong with my update. I installed that update before the 1.46 and my game worked perfectly. I then saw there was the newest one and downloaded that. I've installed everything correctly again. I opened the game and it started to run fine. Just before it gets to the spinning plumbob, it closes. There is no warning, no error messages, it just shuts down. I didn't delete my game folder and I've downloaded a new one and still nothing. I don't have an anti-virus (naughty) so there's no issue there. There's also no issue with my firewall. So I really dont know whats going on. Please help  :$ DedicatedToLorilihim Why God.

Delete "Game" folder from your Sims 4 installation directory and download fresh one (1.46.18.1020) from here.

If that doesn't help try validator and post the result here.

Good news, your installation folder is fine (except for unnecessary files - delete "EP03/__Installer", "SP02/__Installer" and "SP06/__Installer" folders). Do you have any mods? Move them out of "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods". If that doesn't help, rename "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" folder and see if that works.

wow. so you're amazing. Normally I would have taken out the mods folder to see what is causing the game to crash but its never done it like that before so I didn't think of my mods folder. But just now it opened and ran fine. soooooooooooo now for the long task of finding out what my game likes and doesn't like lol. Thank you soo much for your help  Why.
