Question on downloading.
Hi, so I’ve never downloaded anything from this site before however I’ve been wanting to download the seasons and pets expansions as well as the other game packs and stuff packs. However, my sims 4 game is not pirated, I bought it myself and I also have Get to work, get together and city living expansions installed and also some other stuff packs and spa day installed that also isn’t pirated. I was wondering because my game isn’t pirated, how would it affect me downloading expansion packs from here? And how would I go about installing the packs?

Re: Question on downloading.
I suggest you keep the pirated and the original versions separated (in different direcories).
You keep the original version for accessing the galery and the pirated version for playing the game.
When you have - as yet - no pirated DLC's you'd better use the all-in download for the complete set of pirated expansions.
see HERE

Re: Question on downloading.
Your origin-based games are most probably installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4.
You can copy the files and folders from the pirated all-in version to f.e. D:\Sims Games\The Sims 4
Do not update your present origin-based games with pirated DLC's and patches.

okay thank you i understand it better now. sorry if i sound annoying but i am confused what you mean about not updating with pirated DLC's? do you mean once i put the pirated expansions/game packs/stuff packs in, i'm not able to update my game from origin because it will corrupt it or something? or would i still be able to update my game from origin without it affecting anything?Tarac wrote:Your origin-based games are most probably installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4.

Re: Question on downloading.
As soon as you update your origin game with pirated DLC's your origin based game will become pirated.
So no access to the Galery.
When you log in to Origin again, the pirated DLC's in the origin based game will be deleted and you still have your bought games.

"Updating (pirated expansions) through Origin" will not yield any results apart from breaking your DRM-free (=cracked) game, unless your Origin account has these DLC as well. You need to know that Origin only grabs updates from the games you actually have installed. If you have the base game, you only get base game updates. If you got the base game plus Get to Work, then you get base game + Get to Work updates only, etc.
It's best to try imagining the two versions of The Sims (legit + DRM-free), as two different entities, with two different modes of updating them. Sure, accidents still can happen, but users will eventually have to learn their way around these difficulties.

Update the origin game in the usual manner.
Update the pirated game by downloading a new DLC and copy the files\folders to the directory of your cracked game

Re: Question on downloading.
Or in other words: the legal, bought game is updated through origin, as you are used.
The pirated game is updated with the updates posted here on games4theworld. If you subscribe to the newsletter you will be noticed once an update is there.
Just keep the two versions seperated all the time and don't mix them, meaning don't copy folders from the pirated version to your origin folder. If you do it in this way, then you're safe.
If you're still unsure about it, then i would suggest to stick to your legal copy.
