Very laggy gameplay. [SOLVED]
hello! i have downloaded the sims 4 from here since they first came out and ive only used your updates and expansions. lately my game has been super laggy, sims take forever to cook or eat forexample and their work starts and ends later than its supposed to. also the maid just freezes there for hours without doing anything. ive had cc from the begining but never had a problem. i became greedy tho and added too many so i spent 4 hours today on sims 4 studio deleting things i didnt want but it made very little difference. i also downloaded and use razer cortex but it made about 20% difference. i also followed your instructions and deleted catche files. i dont know what to do! please help me! i really love the sims and i cant play anymore

Do you recall what items you exactly added since the last time the game was working? If so, you could remove them rather easily from your Mods-folder, and without looking too hard. While this guide here is a bit dated here:
https://www.games4theworld.club/t18175-how-to-install-custom-content-in-ts4-package-files-script-mods-custom-sims-lots-updated-on-21-03-2015
I believe you can still create subfolders within Mods. And if you want to "get greedy", just temporarily park your new mods in one specific subfolder that you can find easily (choose an appropriate name like Testmods or something). When you start up the game the next time and notice problems, you'll know that your issue most likely is within that Testmods-folder. This scenario is easier to deal with in my opinion that merely taking a thousand or more individual .package files and mixing them all into one single Mods-folder, that has no internal structure whatsoever.
This suggestion may not help with your current situation, but maybe it can serve as a guideline for the future. Sorry I can't get more specific than that, but custom content-management will always be up to the individual user to deal with.
