CODEX over G4TW? [CLOSED]

Can I install the codex version of Get Famous over the G4TW game I have installed now?

Yes, it will work. You will need to copy language strings for version 1.47.49.1020 to your game folder to be able to play in languages other than English.

Just heads up for anyone reading this thread. CODEX version contains all DLCs and weights 30GB. If you want something lighter, wait for G4TW release.

There is actually a codex version that just has the update and the expansion. I copied and pasted just like I do with the G4TW packs.

No, I didn't have that problem. Did you cut and paste everything into your The Sims 4 directory?

I've just noticed Reloaded has the new update (V1.47.51.1020)
I'm presuming we can still go ahead and install that on top of our existing G4TW installation?

Yeah, this should work. Just remember that updates from CODEX are English only. If you play in other language then you should switch to English and when there are new language strings switch back to your language after applying them.

I did try it but it didn't update my game, i probably did it wrong, the instructions from skidrow are never exactly detailed.

I'd rather wait till it's here instead of faffing about with that lol.

You probably forgot to copy/paste the files inside the "CODEX"-folder, to your TS4 installation under Game\Bin. Either way, maybe we can come up with a G4TW repack later in the day.
