Well, in 2017, I downloaded The Sims 4 in another source, and I want to update it so bad since y'know, new DLCs have been released. Is there a way to update my current game or to transfer my data to the new game? I've advanced so much and I don't want to lose it.

Also, I'm sorry if this discussion is the incorrect one, I'm not sure where to post it. 

Please, I need help!

Yes you can update with G4TW downloas.
Your progress files are safe in your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder, so they are available after updating.
