Different Error Messages
Ive been with G4TW for years for my downloads. Ive never had a problem and if I did i always found a solution but I cant seem to figure out whats going on. I recently recovered my laptop and downloaded everything. However, every time I try to start I get a new error message
First I got the Orangeemu error. I downloaded the fix and installed it
After that I got the (0xc00000009a) message and I disabled windows defender and McAfee
Now my game starts, but it takes a quarter of the screen then it crashes. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no luck

Re: Different Error Messages
Go to Documents\Electronic Arts and move The Sims 4 folder to desktop. This will start the game fresh, you can move saves back later. If that doesn't solve the problem, run the validator (in quick scan mode) and post the result here.

My sims folder wasnt in the EA sub folder, I moved it per directions. Should it have been there?
I moved it t desktop; still getting it in a small screen and crashes when it gets to "Sims 4"
Tried using Validator but its saying couldnt detect game version wrong directory selected. Clicked my "Sims 4" folder and got the message both when the folder was on desktop and when i moved it back to program files.

Re: Different Error Messages
There are two "The Sims 4" folders. One contains your game files. That's the one installation guide tells you to move from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" to somewhere else, for example "C:\Program Files\The Sims 4".
The other one contains your game data: saves, tray items, mods, options, etc. That's the one in Documents I told you to move.
In validator you need to select the first one. Validator looks for "Game\Bin\Default.ini" file. So select the folder that has it inside.

Okay, so ive followed directions half right. The folder I selected was the one with the Games\Bin directory. Still getting that message from Validator. Moving the other folder made the game pop up full screen but it still crashes.anadius wrote:There are two "The Sims 4" folders. One contains your game files. Excuse me for not putting this in the OP but I had the error message "Unable to start:The contents of your user data" Followed all the directions including #3 "Also, try deleting the file named Default.ini. If you downloaded the game from Games4theworld and used the latest updates, the file is located in C:\Program files(x86)\The Sims 4\Game\Bin. Then try starting the game again."

Re: Different Error Messages
Never delete that file. If you get an error saying your user data was created by the newer version of the game - just update your game. Forcing the game to use saves from newer version of the game is just asking for glitches.
What was the last release you've applied?

Re: Different Error Messages
Alright then. Latest release from G4TW is update 1.48.90.1020 ("TS4_Update_1-48-90-1020.7z" file). Extract just the "Game" folder from it to your installation folder and run the validator.
Then how come you got that error? You either messed up installation order or you forgot to mention you also have legit game, which was updated earlier today to version 1.48.94.1020.

Nope everything I have is from here. I (at least tried) to follow all steps and when I finished I kept getting the error messages everytime I try to play until now where the game crashes at the start screenanadius wrote:Alright then. Re: Different Error Messages
Delete those files:
game/bin/core/winhttp.dll
game/bin/python33.dll
game/bin/python33_x64.dll
And delete/move to desktop "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4" folder.
If that doesn't help, run validator again, this time in normal mode.
