Can't install TS4.

Hi,

my sister's just bought a new laptop so we decided to install The Sims 4 on it. We downloaded the base game file and tried to install it exactly by the instructions, but whatever we do, the game just won't launch. A message always pops up that we're missing something, I don't understand it. We were also told that the PC was missing the Microsoft Visual C++, so we downloaded it manually, but we're not able to launch the game. Any tips?

You need Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, 2010 and 2013. You can find both 32- and 64-bit versions in those folders:
"The Sims 4\__Installer\vc\vc2010sp1\redist"
"The Sims 4\__Installer\vc\vc2013\redist"

Just install those and the game should work. And if you're getting another error now, type the whole error message here or take a screenshot.

I have only __Installer\vc\vc2013 folder, there's no 2010. I tried to install those two files in the 2013 folder at least, but the message is still the same:

The dynamic library "rld.dll" failed to load. Please confirm that:
1) The file was copied over the same folder as the cracked executable
2) The antivirus software is not false-detecting the file (in which case white-list the folder)

I already white-listed the whole EA folder in the antivirus. Still not working.

Well then that means your anti-virus already deleted that file. Check if you can restore it from quarantine. If not, just install next DLC.

Thanks, this seemed to help. But now we have another issue >.< The game starts to launch, but then it shuts down with "Origin is not running". I searched through the forum, but the topics are like from 2016, is it still actual now? We tried to rename the folder from The Sims 4 to The Sims4, nothing changed, it still doesn't start.

Then move it up a folder or two. I keep mine in "C:\Games\The Sims 4".

God, I don't want to bother you again and again, but I'm really miserable.

Somehow we launched the game (by launching it via 64bit). It was installed until Jungle Adventure and everything seemed fine. But then we installed the rest of the DLCs and OrangeEmu.dll is missing, we're not able to launch it again. Gosh, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Thank you for having such patience with me.

Add "The Sims 4\Game\Bin" to your anti-virus exception list. Delete "Game" folder and extract it again from the last DLC/update you have installed.
