Game Options Not Saving HELP!!!!

My Sims 4 Game Is Lagging And Every Time I Try To Change The Graphics Settings To Low And Restart It.It Changes Back To Custom.
When I Try To Untick Laptop Mode And Restart It Changes Back To Laptop Mode On
When I Change Display Type To Windows It Start Back Up As Fullscreen

Sorry for the belated response,

Go under Documents\Electronic Arts and change the folder name of "The Sims 4", to something else. Start up the game (a new "The Sims 4" folder will be created), and test this on a new savefile again.

My guess is that it's caused by some mod, or maybe some cache files. In some rare cases though, it can also be caused by people putting the folder "The Sims 4", as read-only.
