No expansion installed still get error 0x024e424f

Good Day Too All,
Ok I have searched this site up and down, and come up empty.
This is what I have done.
1 - Install Base game, run crack tested ok(Retail version 1.0. something)
2 - download and install update (the manual patch).
3 - When I run Launcher, EA Manger pops up saying I must connect to the net?
I have run the latest crack(ultimate fix one). I have not added any custom content, and I have updated my Windows 7 Ultimate, as well as the video driver.
I'm working on a HP Pavilion dv6 - Surprisingly Sims 3 works(with only the base game and no updates
when I try and start the game with the TS3W.exe - EA Comes up.
When I try the TS3.exe - I get a blank Screen and the error code.
The only thing I have not done is install a Expansion Pack. I have copied the # crack only then tried, I have only
copied the ' base game' crack then tried, I have copied both, still with the same result.
I'm at a loss, I have been at this for two days now.

Hello,
Unfortunately the fix requires atleast one of the following: Generations, Town Life Stuff, Pets or Master Suite stuff.
I believe this error shows up because your crack is incompatible with just the base game, eventhough it is up to date.
