Endless loading screen Empty Endless loading screen

Post by Guest Wed 07 Aug 2019, 01:21

Hey everyone, so I finally decided to update my sims 4 with the files provided here, last one i had was the follow up patch for "Get Famous" so I downloaded all the updates afterwards, Updated all my Mods and CC as well as get rid of any that were dups and what not. Once I loaded into the game, I decided to start fresh with a new save so I can try out the new expansions and such.

I was able to create a sim, as well as buy a property but once I try to load into that and actually start playing, I am greeted with an Endless loading screen. I came back to this site and checked the forums so see of any fixes and I did everything that was provided to me, from downloading a "newer" Game folder and removing the old one, from trying with a newer save file, from removing my mods and CC completely, From resetting the cache, from restarting my computer, from even lowering the graphics on the game thinking maybe now it got too demanding for my PC causing it to take a long time to load.

Nothing worked and I still have this problem. I was wondering if there is any corrupted files on what i downloaded and thinking there may need to be a patch or update to them. If someone can help me out and maybe suggest new ways of dealing with this cause from what I know, Ive tried everything provided to me here on this website as well as reading forums on the official EA support and still nothing.

Thank you for any assistance.

Go to Documents\Electronic Arts and move The Sims 4 folder to desktop. This will start the game fresh, you can move saves back later. If that doesn't solve the problem, run the validator and post the result here.

Notice that I told you to move whole "The Sims 4" folder from the Documents, not just the Mods folder. That's huge difference. And if you want to check for corrupted files, uncheck "quick scan" when running the validator. But usually moving folder from Documents and quick scan is enough.

Hello, okay so as I was reviewing my previous post of what the validator found, It says i was missing EP07 which was strange cause it was in my folder as well as in the game main menu saying I owned it. So I redownloaded that plus the follow up patch again to added those to my Sims 4 Folder and now the game works.

I do not think I need any further assistance, but if the issue comes back ill be sure to come back to the forums. Thank you for the help.

Just to be sure, delete those "unknown files" and run validator again (uncheck "quick scan" again). If the result is clean (no hash mismatch, no missing, no unknown files) then you're good.
