Sims4 Mods no longer working. [SOLVED]

Hi there! I just recently got a copy of the Sims4 via downloads, and after several failed attempts, the mods that once previously worked fine with my official copy of Sims4, are no longer working with my new cracked copy. I put the Mod file folder in the exact same location where it was in my official copy, yet it is not being registered when I open the game. I have made sure that the custom content has been allowed via in game settings, and am quite miffed at this. 



I have scanned through the forums to try and find a solution, but I have yet to find one that has solved this issue. All files have been properly unzipped, and ran fine on my official copy of the game.

According to your screenshot, your "Mods"-folder is located in the same location where the game installation is, which is incorrect. The Mods-folder belongs inside Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.

Oh my god, I totally forgot about that. I feel so stupid. Thank you so much for your help! I was banging my head against a wall. It now works properly!!! I'm so sorry lol

No worries, it's a common mistake. Can be solved easily.  

There are a few mods that can or should be put under the installation folder, but these are the exception in my experience. Most "normal" mods go under the Documents-folder. Since I assume this problem has been solved, I shall go ahead and close the topic.
