Can I keep a legit copy and install a pirated copy?
For Gallery reasons, I want to keep a legit copy of Sims 4 on my harddrive.
Can I install this:
https://www.games4theworld.club/t33925-the-sims-4-alternative-installer-v2-download-only-what-you-need-even-smaller-than-before
while keeping the legit copy of Sims 4 (Origin)? Which is in this location...
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\TS4.exe"
Can I install this:

Obviously.
This will put DLCs in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4" folder and cracked exe in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game-cracked\Bin". That way you can still run the legit game without needing two completely separate games. The only downside is that your legit and cracked games must be the same version. So, as DLC installer says, you have to disable automatic game updates in Origin and when the new update is available - wait for the crack (no-origin-fix). When the crack is out - update the game in Origin and run the DLC installer again.anadius wrote:What if I have original (bought from Origin) base game installed?
Download dlc-*.xbin files you want + no-origin-fix-*.rar from my repack and ts4-origin-dlc-installer.exe from http://www.mediafire.com/folder/4te4nglbpt2dt/The_Sims_4_tools.
Put downloaded files in one folder and run ts4-origin-dlc-installer.exe.

So, I can't have it so they run different versions?

Sorry for double-posting, I can't edit for some reason.
What I meant was if I could have two separate copies installed on my computer.
For example, I keep the legit copy in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\"and then I go and install ALL the files (including base) in https://www.games4theworld.club/t33925-the-sims-4-alternative-installer-v2-download-only-what-you-need-even-smaller-than-before and run the _setup-1.55 file and put it all into a seperate location (like C:\Program Files\ or D drive). Would that work?

Re: Can I keep a legit copy and install a pirated copy?
Yeah, it would. But then if you update your legit game and launch it, and later try to start the cracked game you will get the "your game data folder was created by newer version of the game". So if you really want to keep them completely separated, you will have to juggle folders in "Documents\Electronic Arts". Keep one "The Sims 4" for legit game and another one for cracked game.
But you said you want to keep the legit one for gallery reasons. In the setup you want to have, with separate folders in "Documents\Electronic Arts", you will have to start legit game, download from the gallery, close game and Origin, copy downloaded files from one Tray folder to another and start cracked game. With the setup I proposed, and with keeping both games on the same version, you don't have to mess with folder in Documents.
But it's your choice. So if you want to keep them separated, there's no need to download everything. Just copy your "The Sims 4" from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games" to where you want to keep the cracked game, and from my repack download DLCs you want, setup, and no-origin-fix. No need to download base files nor the patch 1.55.108, your legit game already have those.
