Endless Loading Screen. Empty Endless Loading Screen.

Post by Guest Sat 30 Nov 2019, 20:45

Hello, yesterday I installed the sims 4 and all the expansion packs from here up until the last update, I have the last fix, I also removed my mods folder completely to see if that was the reason why
I can enter build mode on lots but i cannot play live mode, is there a way to fix this?

Welcome to the G4TW Club Forum. First lest us make sure that you have the game set up right. You should be playing with the x64 exe. file. Go to your game bin folder and make a shortcut to the Sims 4 execute file, execute as an administrator. Check and see. If you still have problems, re-install our last fix, remember to delete the game folder prior. Test again.
OK, let us say it did not solve your problem. Make sure you are not installing old saves, or lots. Try a fresh one, even if it's just a room, just for test purposes. Let us say, you are still facing an issue. I am assuming you can also get into CAS and create a family; as I understand, you are getting the issue when you are trying to place the family into the lot you create it to start playing. I am also assuming that no mods also means no CC, just to be clear.
A while back, since Island Living some gamers had the endless loading screens when going into live mod, however, it should have been resolved. But since EA manages to resuscitate old bugs with new packs, let us try one last trick. I had the same issue you are currently having and this was my work around. Place your family on an empty lot, and see if the live mod works, if it does, you will have to build your lot or place an already made house while your sims are there. If the trick works, you will be able to save and go on as usual. Meanwhile I will ask around other simmers to see if they are having this issue again. Let us know if it works Good job!

OK, sorry to hear. The omly other thing I can suggest is to run The Sims 4 Validator. It will show you if there are corrupted or missing files. I have attached a link to the site. Follow the instructions and although I personally do not know how to read the files, someone here might be able to help you more, if you post the results here.

The validator is down, as is that Tumblr page.

Have you tried removing or renaming your entire "The Sims 4" folder under Documents\Electronic Arts? This "endless loading problem" is also know to be caused by damaged savefiles, so that's another option for you to look at.

If your game starts up normally, it's rather unusual that your game is damaged, so therefore I would say using any validator isn't necessary. But let's see.

I just did, my game is also in spanish is that a problem? i speak spanish so i don't really care cause i still understand but i don't know if that's also a factor.
I changed the folder names in electronic arts and the only difference im seeing is now Island Living does not work, well at start up of sims says its not downloaded anymore.
and also i just checked again the electronic arts folder and it made a new "Los Sims 4" folder as my game is in spanish so is the folder, but still endless loading screen when i move people into empty lot or house

OK, try doing this. DELETE your "Game"-subfolder inside your The Sims 4 install folder. Then re-extract a fresh "Game"-subfolder, from the TS4 update that you downloaded most recently. Place that fresh "Game"-subfolder, to where your old one was, and re-start the game from there.

OK, try manually changing your registry, as described in the guide here:
https://www.games4theworld.club/t33259-the-sims-4-language-change-guide#

Put "en_US" as your registry key. Then re-start your game as Administrator (right-click => "Run as Administrator").

I don't have that file in my game bin,
arent these the files that the instructions say to delete?

"game bin"...? That's not in your game bin. You're supposed to press Windows key + R, type regedit in the small window that comes up, hit enter, then navigate to the following position.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE => SOFTWARE => Maxis => The Sims 4

Endless Loading Screen. V3azqhE

Double-click on where it says "Locale", and look if the entry is "en_US" there. If it's something else than that, then please change it to "en_US" then, and re-start the game as Administrator.

I'm not sure why this well-known error keeps surfacing again:
https://www.games4theworld.club/t29990-fix-for-endless-household-loading-error-code-3-game-starts-unexpectedly-in-spanish-version-1-58-69-1010

Maybe people are overlooking something, or it could be an indicator that something else went wrong. At the present moment that is all I can say, but we may come up with some troubleshooting methods on our own to help better with these things. Maybe, no guarantees.

Edit: if you like, pack your current "Game"-subfolder in a .rar or .7z archive, and then upload it to a filehosting service like MEGA, MediaFire, etc. Then post the link in a follow-up reply here. Maybe I can spot something that is out of order.

@The_gh0stm4n, I think we are yet to see another patch. Tis University patch is redden with bugs and is not that users have not complaint, because they are, all over the web. One of the problems is that you have those few that are lucky enough that their games never bug, or if they do, they stay quite and keep on with the myth that CC and mods are the blame, when there is people out-there experiencing bugs with a Vanilla version of the game. Lately they are also blaming cracks, when those of us that have been playing these games for a while know that at least the games that have been provided in this forum have never given any additional problems except for the ones that are already inherent of the game itself.
I always give this as an example but I do recall when Sims 3 was unplayable (children disappear and cats, ended up in the ocean and routing errors and game crashes). There were sites specifically to re-route their worlds! Then Twallan and his mods that took care of almost every error the game had! Well, it seems that EA is looking for third party modders to solve their oversights once again, this time with the mod Master Controller. Personally, the mod, never worked for me, even though others will not update their games unless the mod has been updated.
Although EA announced that Saves corruption was taken care of, it has not, so my advice to those that care enough for their old saves, is to make back up copies and maybe in this decade EA wil solve the problem. There is also CC that I would have never imagined causing people not to be able to place families in already made lots. So, another advice is, please play a new game after installing any pack, now and in the future, without any mods or CC, if you can play the game: CAS, build and buy and then live mod with a Vanilla game and then when installing your mods folder the game glitches, then you know is something in thet folder that needs to be updated or go (which from experience) I know is not an easy task. Add to that, that when you play the game in a different language the game also bugs out, it is a bad mix. Why.

Yes, I suppose we'll keep an eye out for a new patch:
https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/categories/latest-patch-notes

About this here:

grieralexander wrote:Lately they are also blaming cracks, when those of us that have been playing these games for a while know that at least the games that have been provided in this forum have never given any additional problems except for the ones that are already inherent of the game itself.

I recall when The Sims 4 came out, and the first crack from 3DM surfaced, there was this issue where your game screen would get pixelated after a while of playing. American-based "gaming news outlets" rejoiced, but soon fell silent when RELOADED tried their hands on it, with success.

We shouldn't take these voices too seriously, as the people who propagate these views either have an agenda of their own, or they are just being useful idiots.

Or they really do believe that our type of activities are morally bad, which is (also) fair enough I suppose. But usually there will be some materialistic or more pragmatic motivation behind it, than some vague and abstract moral belief that "piracy is like stealing".

Regardless of personal opinions or predispositions of certain people, we'll keep doing what we do. Smile
