Toggle DLCs. [SOLVED]
I have installed up to My First Pet stuffpack (I want to get to Strangerville), but I realised that the game consumes too much CPU (not that it crashes, but reaches 90-100% of CPU (the game using just 50-60%) at given points, such as loading screens), can I just download Simarchitect's DLC toggler and use it with G4TW's version? Or manually delete stuffpacks or expansions myelf (let's say I go to the folder where the game is installed and delete the EP4 folder).
I ask this because I thought that another way of making the game less heavy (besides lowering the graphics an using laptop mode) for my CPU could be having less content (maybe I could delete Parenthood and some stuff packs), because I noticed that when I was at the start (installing the first 3 expansion packs) the game ran smoothly.
So, can I delete DLC manually or use the toggler with this version or do I have to unistall and take SA's All-In-One to then use the gaven DLC toggler?

Hello again,
It is possible to 'disable' DLCs by editing the codex.cfg manually with Notepad, and if you know what you're doing. But of course, using that DLC toggler tool is a lot more comfortable to use.
Also note that all these Sims 4 versions are basically interchangeable, no matter where you download them from. So yes, you can use the DLC toggler on G4TW's repacks as well.
Note that the tool was created by a former guest contributor on the Forum here ("anadius"), and it is technically not part of G4TW's official set of tools/downloads. But I uploaded the thing here:
Extract with 7-zip and place all items within your TS4 installation folder. So in the same path as where your __Installer, Game, Data, Support, etc. folders are.
Double-click the dlc-toggler.exe. A list should pop up. You will see that some DLC entries are "red" (= not installed) and some are "white" (= the DLCs that you DO have installed). Ignore the red stuff, and tick or untick the white entries as you see fit. Wait a second or two after (un)ticking, and then close the tool.
Upon your next restart of the game, your desired DLC will be disabled, or enabled, whatever. Good luck!

Re: Toggle DLCs. [SOLVED]
TYSM!! I thought I would have to uninstall and re-install, phew! Do I need to update to University to use the DLC toggler though? (I ask because the filename is"DLC_toggler_University")

It is named as such ("DLC toggler University"), because it is the latest version of the tool available. It's basically a script that contains DLC entries, according to the codex.cfg file. And the entry of the latest DLC (University) is added into the tool.
You don't need to actually install the University DLC though (to use the tool), or in fact any of the DLC beyond what you already have.
