Saves folder empty after installing Tiny Living.

I just installed the Tiny Living pack and now my saves folder is empty.

When I start the game there is no option to load a game - only to start a new one. 
If I open the My Library folder I can see a house that I downloaded a week ago + some households I've create a while back.

I made a copy of the saves folder and put it on my desktop before I moved and replaced the files to my installation folder, but after installing Tiny Living both that folder and the  new saves folder in C:\Users\Me\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 are empty. 

How did this happen? I have never had any trouble with the saves folder when using these installations

Hello @Luriphax and sorry to hear about that,

If you look under C:\Users\(your Windows name)\Documents\Electronic Arts\, 

You can try doing a search on your C: drive, for e.g. Slot_00000001.save, or some variation of that example filename. Go under your Local Disk C: , and in the top right corner type in the filename, and let the system search.

I don't assume the following, but I'll still ask: are you sure you did not change the display language at some point?

Another - albeit very theoretical - possibility. Are you noticing other problems with your hard-drive, like bluescreens, other missing/corrupted data? If so, it could be an early sign of a failing hard-drive.

I have tried searching and the only saves I can find are my older saves from previous backups. The only empty folder is the one I backed up yesterday before installing Tiny Living.

I have not changed the language either, the "only" thing I did was download, unzip and then copy+replace as usual.

I have no issues with my PC whatsoever.

I feel like such a noob 

Still, I don't understand how that folder got deleted. When I "install" by copying and replacing to C:\Program Files\The Sims 4 like I've done with all the other EP's, that shouldn't effect the saves folder in C:\Users\Me\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4, should it?

Happened by accident, probably. We've all been there, and yes, even me.

I once "marked" several files and folders for deletion (with that light blue tint on Windows), and apparently I marked my TS3 Documents folder by accident. It got deleted, alongside part of my unique mods & CC items that I used back then. I had another backup of just my savefiles, but those mods/CC are lost forever.

Those were University rugs, so you could go to University classes in TS3 without visiting the actual & super-buggy University-world. IIRC some kind of drama led the creator of the mods to withdraw her creations from public ("someone else used my mods without permission, bah wah rah!"), so I couldn't re-download them. Mind you, that was even looooooooong before creators started monetizing their stuff with the likes of Patreon.

That sounds condescending, and of course it's the creator's decision what they do. But I still found that move tough-jerk-like.
