The Sims 2 screen resolution 1920x1080/visual flickering glitch.

Hello,

I just downloaded the sims 2 ultimate collection and everything worked fine. My game doesnt crash and it runs fast too. However, I have 2 issues:
1) even after using graphics Rule makers I still cant change my sims 2 resolution (see screenshot below)
2) my screen keeps flickering whenever I buy items or zoom in and out. (see screenshot below)

I tried everything I can find online to fix the issues but nth worked.



I have Acer: Core i7-8550u
                  Navidia GeForce MX150 with 2GB VRAM
                  12 GB DDR4 Memory

What exactly does your Graphics Rules Maker say? Does it look like this here? Example from my own system:








And if you go under the Options Menu to change some (other) graphics settings, does the system let you do so?

Thanks! I did find a way to fix it. I just changed it manually and it works now. However I do have another issue.
My game crashes lots. I had sims 3 and now sims 4 and i have never had issues with my game crashing randomly. Ive seen its a common issue in sims 2 and ive tried so many ways to fix it but still nth helps me. I would be sooo happy if you can tell me what to do to stop it.

ive used the 4gp patch + removed thumbnails + run as administrator + changed the setting..

Can you for now try taking a fresh Sims2EP9.exe (from the folder #Crack in the download), and re-inserting it into your game? Should be placed under:
C:\Program Files\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSBin

Then replace the existing file when prompted.

they said my standby should be 0 however ever after trying what they said mine still very high.

@mielymcs, did you manage to solve the issue, if I may ask? I wasn't really able to suggest anything else, other than trying to restore these graphics-related text files that you edited, and doing it from scratch (maybe you made a mistake when you added your resolution into these text files?).
