Eco Lifestyle - Preparation posts.

*pssst* it's me again!   No worries, it has not escaped me that a new DLC comes out in a few days. See also this here:

Even though the G4TW Forum is closed, we'll still try and post further TS4 updates! I've said it elsewhere I believe, but I'll say it again: in accordance with ~Ann~'s wishes ALL direct downloads on G4TW are discontinued, with my "official" retirement from G4TW. And that goes for the above format as well. 

When the time comes I have to re-do the Global Patch and also the folder with the DLC-files. If you already grabbed the complete folder for the DLCs ... and you point the download directory in your torrent client (when you grab the updated .torrent file/magnet link for the new DLC) to your existing folder, then the client should automatically only download the newest DLC, which should be named something like "EP09 - Eco Lifestyle.7z". So if you do it right, you won't have to re-download the entire 21GB of the DLC-folder, only the EP09-file.

I'm not too inclined to keep doing the "old format" plus this "new format". So you can probably guess where I'm going to. But I'm not 100% sure yet.

Which my "intel" already indicated a few days ago, so I went to bed relatively early yesterday. Good intel, here's a cookie for you:

 

And yes, that means we will also postpone a (potential) G4TW release on here, a little bit, to accommodate the presence of this new patch. Can't get to it right now, because I have to go out shortly, but will be back later in the day.

We'll keep doing the "old format" and "new format", and we'll start with the old format first; the Global Patch / DLC-folder will follow a bit later.

I need to pre-seed the new repack for a little, so that the download speeds are at least half-decent when we make the announcement. Check back in 2-3 hours from now!

So ... I think we're (finally) ready to go ahead on this end. Global Patch links updated to 1.63.134.1020, and DLC-folder updated with the EP09 (Eco Lifestyle) file. Look at the updated section where it says "For users with a 64-bit Windows system". 

Just apply the Global Patch as always and use the included dlc-toggler to activate the WHITE DLC-entries. You can also use the option "(un)check all". Credits, as always, to anadius for updating that dlc-toggler/dlc.ini file.  Yes, the toggler is included this time with the Global patch, which should hopefully reduce difficulties even further.

About the updated DLC-folder ... read the following VERY SLOWLY. You do NOT have to re-download these DLCs, if you downloaded them in the previous version of the DLC-folder torrent. Remember that the only new thing in that DLC-folder is the EP09 - Eco Lifestyle .7z file. If you grabbed for example EP01 from the previous torrent, you do not have to grab it again. Sounds simple and straightforward? We'll see. But either way, if you only need the new DLC (EP09), then just tick the EP09 in the torrent preview.

As said elsewhere, in accordance with ~Ann~'s wishes and my "official" retirement from the G4TW Forums, no direct downloads anymore, anywhere on here. So yes, use a VPN for torrenting.

Initial seeding might be slow, as always. Please bear with us. Later down the road I'll see to simplifying the Legacy Patch section as well. But generally for the 32-bit Windows people, nothing changes.
