Sims 3 base game - trojan in serial.exe.[SOLVED]

Last night I torrented TS3 from your official piratebay profile. When I extracted it, my antivirus program immediately removed serial.exe



I don't want to go pointing fingers, but I'm pretty sure you said '100% virus free'. So I'm wondering if you can provide an explanation or tell me where I can find a clean copy of the serial.exe, because I'm definitely not restoring that one. Thank you.

If you downloaded the torrent from either www.games4theworld.org or www.thepiratebay.se/user/games4theworld , I will guarantee you that all the files are 100% virus free, indeed.
You are probably going to get such errors with some NoCD cracks too. We like to call these errors "false-positives". The files are clean actually, though, your Anti-Virus thinks it's a virus because of the way the files is packed. (They look similar to trojan files, BUT THEY ARE NOT!)

Thank you so much! I asked one of my RL friends about this, and he told me that keygens will typically drive antivirus programs nuts. I'm just erring on the side of caution since this laptop means a lot to me. Thanks for the quick and thorough answer =)
