Thinking of Reinstalling Sims3 but, have questions before I do it.

Ok, I took the 3.1 update and as you know game doesn't work and I miss playing the Sims. I am thinking about reinstalling everything again. Is there a way I can save my saved sims, saved games, worlds and installed sim pack files that are already installed into the game? I know I can save my mods/packages.

Hello,
Yes you can, and its not that difficult, simply go to My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and copy the folders Saves and Mods to another location on your pc.
Alternatively, you can also copy the entire The Sims 3 folder to another location which will effectively back up your mods, saves and in game settings. It might also prevent you from needing to reinstall your sims3packs.
After reinstalling, you can simply put the folder back where they came from.
Don't forget to restart your pc between uninstalling and reinstalling.
