its a store item, so i would guess no. really not sure though.

Maybe.. some store sets require an expansionpack. It looks like this one is mostly hair and clothing though so you'd assume it'll work without Showtime.

You don't need Showtime for the Seeing stars items. It's a stand alone pack inspired by Showtime for those who don't have the EP or for those that want more for the EP. I found this out from a forum post over at EA from the team who created it. I had this in my game before I even had Showtime downloaded.

And the pack only has the clothing, hairs and the hyp-ma-tiz thingy. The props in the background and wallpapers are just for show and not included.

I should have came back and said something about it, but was to busy playing the game itself. Sorry about that.

I'm waiting for it to show up here in Sims3pack so I can pick and choose what I want from it. A couple of the hairs and clothing are just plain ugly.
