Followed the steps exactly as they are and it's still not working

I followed the steps exactly as they are
1. Installed by order
2. copied all cracks correctly
3. Updated the game to version 9.0.73.015001
5. copied the crack that's in the #crack folder to the sims 3 directory as instructed

And it says exactly this: It looks like you have installed an unofficial game modification that does not match your current version of The Sims 3. We recommend that you either uninstall these game modifications or get updated versions of them - otherwise you may experience crashes or significant bugs.

And then when I click continue, it takes forever to load

I have done exactly the same as you and encounter the same problem, the problem is in both the origonal manual for the cracks and in the latest fixed folder both tell you after installing disc 9 to let your game update to the latest version.
this is what is causing our issue as it updates the game to 1.31 and the patches are only for 1.29, whats needed is a stand alone patch to get from install version to 1.29.

Just to inform you that the stand alone patch worked, had to uninstall everything first and delete any folders remaining in the ea folder on my c drive and restarted the whole process but skipped stage 11 and used the stand alone patch instead and then applied the final crack.

That's good to hear.
The 1.31 patch is new, just released by EA last week. So naturally, the current guides no longer work right.
Using a pirated game will always be challenging in some ways I guess.

That explains it, unfortunately. A new patch was released last week, in preparation for the new expansionpack EA released today. But there's no crack for this game version yet.
It probably wont be long until there is one at this point, since the expansion has been released and it will only be a matter of time until Admin releases a version. How much time, that's hard to say. It could be today, or within the next few days. That all depends on how much free time Admin has and if the new expansion causes any problems during testing.
Pets was released on the same day though so anything is possible. The new fix, with the crack, will be released at the same time.

It's entirely up to you what you want to do next. You can wait for the new crack that will allow you to play, or you can completely uninstall and reinstall, using the manual 1.29 patch and avoid updating further after that which allows you to use the current fix and play your game.

roaming around i happen upon this site last night and did quite a bit of reading regarding the sims 3 showtime

i have this website's uploads of the game and ultimate fix
i also have the full iso as well

short of uninstalling everything (please god no) i have followed all suggestions to the letter regarding how to get this latest expansion running

i was going to start my own thread when i came upon this one.

i am running the latest patch...i have installed it both from the "huge" manual patch file as well as from the launcher

the game crashes at the sims 3 loading screen and says the sims 3 has stopped working...this was in the details window

I have applied the new crack and it works but the game crashes sometimes

I was just wondering, EA just released a new update a couple of days ago so when is the crack going to be available for this new update?
