Installer not opening.[SOLVED]

So basically I'm trying to install late night. I did everything to a T, but I used Keka instead of that Expander to unrar the .rar. Now when I click the installer in the mounted disk it doesn't do anything. The dock moves but nothing happens other than that.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
I followed the guides that this site offers.

I forgot to mention that I have a legal copy of the base game.

Hello,

Don't use official copy of game as base game.
Download reloaded sims 3 base game. (for mac) (duh.)

Use Only the newest version of stuffitexpander only works than!
the version that now works is : 15.02

DON'T USE OUR BASE GAME FOR MAC IT AIN'T WORKING.
DON'T USE RETAIL SIMS 3 BASE GAME. WILL GIVE YOU ERRORS.

Can you make a screen-shot of your launcher in the update tab.
Its for information.

To fix your error:

1.Download the reloaded version.
2.Open with stuffitexpander version 15.02 or higher.
3.Re-download and apply manual patch (1.33)
4.re-download and re-apply ultimate fix.

All expansions are working for apple tho.

Thank you! I actually figured it out just before you posted! And for some reason I haven't encountered any errors yet with my retail base game so I'll play a little bit and see if anything happens. Probably dumb but hey, I played for an hour and a half without a hitch.

After installation are there any files I can delete? Like the mounted disk or the unrared folders?

you can delete them al the downloaded folders yeah.

Can i ask you for a favor?

Can you make a printsceen form the launchers update tab?

How to make a print screen on mac:

1. Press and hold the Apple key+Shift+4.
2. Once you release the keys, your mouse cursor should have changed to a + symbol
3. If this is the case, press the space bar once to turn the + symbol to a camera icon.
4. You can now use this camera to choose what you want to capture by mouse clicking once on the desired section of the screen.
5. The picture file will automatically save on your desktop.
6. You can now make all the desired changes in your graphic editing programme (crop, change the size, colour, add text and graphics etc).
