Pet pregnancy time?

Pet pregnancy time?
My dog became pregnant about 10 sim-days ago, and there's no signs of any puppies. It's not supposed to take that long, right? It can't take more than half of her adult life, can it?
Although, I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that I was afraid that she might be well on her way to elder when she would give birth, so I prolonged the adult period to max (I was having trouble getting her pregnant in the beginning, before I got her some fertility treatment, and I didn't want her to get too old before she even got pregnant). After about four days, with no puppies born, I changed it back to normal. The thing is, she only has 7 days until she ages into an elder, and now I'm really afraid she might age before the puppies are born.

Hello,
If you changed the pet lifespan (and back), it's possible that the pregnancy is now stuck. You could use Master Controller's "instant baby" to let her have the puppies. Perhaps you could also do it with overwatch, from the same developer.

Re: Pet pregnancy time?
I don't doubt that it would work, but I only have a crappy laptop that's already straining to play the game with four expansions and no other program open. When ever I try to open the game with a mod, the game crashes before it finishes loading.
But yeah, I figured that might be the case. I think I will just have to have her grow into an elder, and losing the litter in the process, then move her to "edit sim mode", make her an adult again and try for another litter.

Hello,
I'll find out if it's possible without mods.
Edit: It is.
Don't try this before you backup your save games. Either copy your saves folder to another location, or "save as' in game to save another copy of this neighbourhood.
Now open the cheatconsole and type resetsim [firstname] [lastname] to reset the dog (without the [ and ]).

Wait, all I have to do is reset the dog!? :O Hmm, hadn't even thought about that. Since this problem started I've had three sims frozen and I reset them, but I never even once thought this was all that was needed. Hehe, probably just too simple of a solution for me to think of.

Hello,
I probably wouldn't have thought about it myself lol.
Please let us know the result, if it doesn't work, there are other things to try, though a bit more complicated. I thought it was best to try this simple solution first.
