Major problems with the Fix that's not actually a FIX: SIms3 mastersuite. [SOLVED]

So up until now I've downloaded and installed missing expansions to my legit game through Reloaded. I stumbled upon your master suite torrent on pirate bay.

I followed the instructions. My fiance, followed the instructions.

We both got a no disc found error. We followed the bread crumb trail to your "ultimate fix". We downloaded the files required(including the handy dandy instruction guide).

We followed the instructions. It STILL doesn't work. I'm STILL receiving the no disc error when I open the launcher after following your instructions 10-14(see I did read the instruction guide...5 times)...sadly, I can't find a RELOADED crack for this particular expansion. So I'm stuck trying to find help or uninstall EVERYTHING.

I don't actually want to uninstall everything.

Assistance is required.

I thought I'd take a screen shot to show I even installed them in the right directory.

relaunched my game, which you can see in the background and still
getting the No disc found error.

As a note, I restarted my computer before doing this again to see if maybe that would help the problem. It didn't.

You can't link files but you can host them; along the buttons to make a response, hover over them [it will say Host An Image] and/or click the picture icon with a save icon.

You still need to copy the other files for Base Game and Other Expansions in Steps 3 - 9 for every expansion you have for the Ultimate Fix to Work. Even if you bought the others.

Don't worry, the Fix does work, if applied correctly.
Are you sure you copied the files in the "# Crack" folder of the Fix to exactly: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and notto Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 or any other folder?

I'm not worried.

I am sure I copied the crack files into the right folder. Your download is hardly the first that required me to copy files from one crack folder into the bin folder of the sims BASE game.

It is however, the first download to fail to work and require a fix. A fix that does not seem to work for me no matter how many times I try to fix it using your guide.

What I have NOT done, however, is copy every crack file into my bin folder for games I bought legit. That was not actually made clear in the guide as a step. At least not to myself.

Are you talking about the same Fix here? The Ultimate Fix, right?
Actually, at the end of the Installation Guide it says:

It does indeed say that, it does not however say, "open every single folder for each of retail version and apply every single crack in every single folder to your BASE sims 3 game bin. I'm sorry that I would confuse it as anything other than...install the crack. Which crack? The crack in the # crack folder? The cracks in every folder? Am I missing a crack? it's vague in my opinion.

And yes, I'm referring to the ultimate fix. I downloaded the games as a temporary until I buy the legit versions as I want to support the software developers. I had gotten spoiled by RELOADED. Every sims 3 download I have from them worked fine without fixes required. Without having to spend 2 hours before finally becoming defeated and uninstalling the game. On the bright side...I only uninstalled master suite and my game works again.

Out of curiosity, though, why can you guys not release a version of this that doesn't require the fix for the game version problem?

Where did I go wrong?

There is no "every single crack" in the fix, there's only one

I had originally assumed as much.

and one crack that is needed to overwrite the original files in the game\bin to avoid the no disc error.

I also assume that you're referring to the files inside the #crack folder, yes?


Looking forward to seeing where I went wrong I would very much like access to this stuffs pack

I'm not, to my knowledge using a NoCD crack. The reloaded expansions came with the following instructions:


Mount or Burn the image
Install the game and use the keygen provided in X folder.
Copy the files in the crack folder to the sims3 base game bin[insert proper path like in G4TW guide)

All three of the packs I downloaded by RELOADED were like this. All three of them worked fine, I'm playing now

The folder you see, I think my fiance accidently put it in there, I know I didn't. I don't think that it's causing the problem though as it's still in the bin and not causing any issues currently. The other files you mentioned...neither my fiance OR I put them there, they don't look familiar.

I will delete the folder...should I also delete the other files you mentioned?
