Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED] Empty Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED]

Post by Guest Wed 02 May 2012, 15:23

Hello,

I'm having a similar problem to what I've had before. I have owned the Sims 3, but my niece broke my CD and I've used torrents for EP's so I figured I can get the base game. It installed fine, but there's the same reoccurring problem I could never figure it out. I have the icon on my desktop. I right click it, and hit open file location. Then I click TS3.exe because I always use that to run the game. My computer screen changes to black like it's going to work, then boom. It shrinks right away and nothing pops up afterwards, like nothing happened. I close everything and try it, still no luck. I have rebooted my computer, uninstalled and re-installed the sims 3, and nothing. I'm really upset, and it's not just Games4theWorld that this has happened with, it's happened with my store bought to. I have another question as well, if anyone knows about this: Do EP's need to be installed in a certain order? Someone please help me, this is so frustrating and why I never can play the sims anymore Sad. Thanks in advance to any help.

Hello,

No, the order isn't really important.
For the crashing, please try this: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-10-01-2012
Since it also happens with your original game, the DEP solution should work fine, if applied correctly. (Be sure to watch its help video which can be found on the same page)

Good luck!

Hello,

If you have Generations, Town Life, Pets, Master Suite and/or Showtime installed, you can no longer use TS3.exe. Use TS3W.exe in stead.

Okay, well where would I get TS3W.exe? It isn't in the sims 3 I downloaded.

//EDIT

Nevermind, I have one. But now I'm faced with a new problem. I finally got the launcher to open without crashing, (yay!) by following the Admin's link and video. But now there's another problem. I tried to run the game, and it popped up with an EA grey box that wants a registration code. Mine was already copied and pasted in that, and I clicked continue. Then it comes back and says the code wasn't valid, so I hit don't continue and it said again code was not valid, then closed. I looked at previous posts on this forum, so. I copied and pasted the TS3.exe from the crack, hit copy and replace. It still didn't work. How do I fix this?? Sad

Hello,

Remember that you need AT LEAST one of the following expansions installed for the Fix to work: Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations.

Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED] Empty Re: Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sun 06 May 2012, 17:06

Hello,

Thank you both. I had to update my game before I could install any expansion packs. It is updated. I have installed so far ambitions and late night. I'm also installing generations, pets, and showtime. Then I'm going to install like two stuff packs. Is it okay to use the fix before I install everything? Or do I need to install everything first?

//EDIT

Okay guys, so I installed Generations, Pets, Late Night, Ambitions,
Master Suite Stuff, and Fast Lane Stuff. But I didn't apply the fix yet.
I just installed Master Suite Stuff. I tried to play sims, and it came
up with 'No game disk found!'. Then I remember I forgot to apply the
crack, so I went and did that. Now when I try to play, the sims 3 stuff
comes up. Master Suite shows all the icons and loading screen, then when
it's done it shrinks and says 'The Sims 3 has stopped working.' Master
Suite made my sims mucked up the last time I played sims. I'm thinking
of just uninstalling it even though I really want it. Do I need to apply
the fix? Will that fix it or should I just uninstall it and contiune
on? 'Cause every time I try to play the sims, even with my disk I bought
in the drive, Master Suite Stuff pops up. So what can I do to fix this?
I was playing sims until I installed Master Suite, now I'm having
problems again.. Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED] 2830496658 Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED] 3450855690 <--- lol Razz

This could have several causes. Try these possible solutions: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-10-01-2012

Well I saw someone else had the same exact problem as me with Master Suite Stuff on a forum. But the problem is, the edited the post and said they solved it by themselves. So. Should I uninstall Master Suite and see if my game works then? I haven't applied the sims 3 fix to anything yet.

I'm going to uninstall Master Suite Stuff and see if that fixes my sims.

Well this is great. Now my sims 3 pets is doing the same exact thing..it goes to the first loading screen, and the bar fills up completely then it shrinks and says Sims 3 has stopped working. Someone please tell me how to fix this..my sims were working fine until I installed Master Suite Stuff. Help

You know what .. I'm done. I have tried so hard and my sims game is doing the same crap it was doing and now nothing will fix it. Thank you guys for trying but my computer hates me and doesn't want me playing sims, I'm way to upset to mess with it. Just going to uninstall everything.

Hello,

I think there are several issues here that we can still work through, if you want to.
If you haven't uninstalled yet, apply the fix now.
If you have uninstalled, use this video to help you clear the registry of any trace of The Sims 3.
Then you can reinstall, base first, then the patch, then any and all expansions you like. Then, apply the crack from the fix (step 13, #crack folder) and it should work.

Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED] Empty Re: Sims 3 Start Up Problem.[SOLVED]

Post by Guest Mon 07 May 2012, 18:25

Hello Lady,

I uninstalled everything but I re-installed the base game yesterday. My registry is cleared of everything but the base game, and create a world. My game is still doing the same thing. It goes like it's going to work, then boom it shrinks without an error. It looks like I'm missing some files to do the DEP, and the sims 3 launcher says it only runs when it is turned on. Also, why do I need to install a patch? I have 1.33 for my game. And if I need to install a patch, where would I get that? I need to patch it before I can install expansion packs. Is there a video with the fix, because I'm confused. There's like 3 expansion pakcs in one folder. Okay, so I installed generations, fast lane stuff, pets, ambitions, late night, and showtime. I bought and installed the sims 3 pets myself, it's in my computer but it's not coming up. Showtime does, and everytime it asks for a disk. I tried to copy the crack. TS3W.exe won't go, but the help/host or w/e does. When I try to drag and drop TS3W.exe this happens: https://i.servimg.com/u/f49/17/49/71/33/untitl10.jpg which I don't understand because I have never had that happen before. I even tried the fix for showtime the same file, it does the same thing. It says access denied. Why is it saying that? Help Help
